Matthew is one of the most exciting golfing talents in the world and picked up his first professional win with a wire-to-wire victory at the British Masters in October 2015.

The 2013 US Amateur champion and Open Championship silver medallist, Matthew brought the curtain down on his glittering amateur career at the 2014 US Open before turning professional at the Irish Open a week later.

He came through qualifying school in Spain in November 2014, picking up birdies in three of his last six holes to finish in a share of tenth place.

After securing full playing privaleges for the first time, Matthew had an impressive share of fifth at the South African Open Championship in January 2015.

After taking a share of eighth place in brutal conditions at the Irish Open, Matt went a step better by finishing tied third at the Lyoness Open Powered by Greenfinity in Austria in June.

Matt went one better at the Omega European Masters in July 2015, finishing a shot behind winner and ISM stablemate Danny Willett after a week that saw him shoot 69-65-64-66.

Third place at the D+D REAL Czech Masters in August was followed by a share of third at the Open d'Italia to make it four top-three finishes in 10 tournaments before he picked up his first win at Woburn.

He led from the opening day thanks to a round of 64, followed by scores of  69 and 68, and an impressive 68 on the final day was enough to give him victory in only his 34th European Tour tournament.

The Sheffield-born player became the first Englishman since 1911 to lift the USGA’s oldest trophy after triumphing at the Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts, in August 2013.

The month before, the 2012 Boys Amateur champion finished as the top amateur at Muirfield after tying for 44th.

Matthew was Great Britain & Ireland’s leading point scorer at the 2013 Walker Cup before receiving the Mark H McCormack Medal as the leading player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking last September.

The former Tapton School pupil had already proven he is capable of competing against the world’s best, impressing at the 2014 Masters at Augusta National in April before tying for 23rd at the PGA Tour’s RBC Heritage the week after.
