Biography
Michael turned pro in November 2011 after making his final appearance as an amateur in the South African Open Championship. The 22-year-old played alongside Ernie Els in the first two rounds at the Serengeti Golf Club and received high praise from the three-time major winner.
Michael was a key member of the GB&I Walker Cup team which won for the first time since 2003 at Royal Aberdeen in September 2011. He won the South African Amateur Open in March 2011 and was Scottish Amatuer Champion in 2010.
