Graeme Learns The Hard Way

There is no need for Graeme McDowell to beat himself up over his failure to convert a last round lead in the German Masters into victory.
All of the world’s best players, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh included, have all faltered at some stage of their careers when in sight of the winning post.
No doubt Graeme will be disappointed not to have notched another win, but as long as he learns from the experience then no harm is done.   Indeed he has made massive strides this year and turned himself into a top 100 player and was beaten last Sunday by a player who knows a great deal about finishing second.
Padraig Harrington is an established top 10 player in the world and still has had more seconds than Oxfam, so it happens to the best and Graeme should look on it as something to learn and advance from.
Whatever happened to Graeme in Germany is history and now I can only see great things happening for him in the future.
The immediate future is not quite as clear cut for some of our other players, currently learning their craft on the feeder tours.   Jack Doherty, James Healy, Stuart Manley and Danny Wardrop have all impressed in recent Europro Tour events which stands them in good stead as they head for the first stage of Tour School.
They will be joined there by our three latest recruits from South Africa - Anton Haig, Albert Kruger and Ryan Tipping.   We wish them all well as they set off on the stairway to the stars.
