Buoyed By Your Support - 05.02.05 |
Messages of support keep pouring in from around the world and I cannot thank you enough. They mean a great deal to Heather and me and help us through the difficult times. Heather had her fourth bout of chemotherapy this week and the oncologist told us beforehand that the results to date have been dramatic. Everything seems to be working in the right direction. Obviously the treatment has taken a lot out of her, but she is coping unbelievably well and is keen for me to start playing again. I have a schedule mapped out, but everything depends on how Heather progresses. At the moment the plan is for me to be in America for three weeks. My manager Chubby will also be my partner in the AT & T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach; then it’s on to Los Angeles and the Nissan Open before the Accenture Match Play, one of my favourite events. I probably won’t make my full European debut until the Daily Telegraph Dunlop Masters at the Marriott Forest of Arden in May, a tournament I was more than happy to help launch this week. The Forest of Arden is one of my favourite tracks and I can’t think of a more appropriate place to make my debut at home. It should be another great week and hopefully it will help me bolster my world ranking. | |
