England were already 2-0 in the series before failing to complete a whitewash as the tourists registered their first win in the dead rubber. Vaughan steadied England after a terrible start saw them collapse to 62 for six, but although the skipper hit 74 his side were still 23 short when the last wicket fell. “We go into the ICC tournament full of confidence that we can put good teams under pressure,” said Vaughan. "It's disappointing not to have completed a clean sweep, but we can be proud of the way we have played throughout this series."
