saw Clarke collect £150,000 for his top 10 finish at The
Players' Championship behind runaway winner Davis Love 111.
"With the season's first Major just around the corner, this
was an excellent tune up," said ISM chief Chubby Chandler
of his top-ranked player. "I said before the start of the
season that this was going to be a big season for Darren and I
am convinced my prediction will be correct.
"There is an inner belief and confidence in Darren that we
have not always detected in the past. If his putter can behave
itself on the slick Augusta greens then who knows what might happen.
He already has one top 10 finish at The Masters and I would not
be the least bit surprised if he has his best- ever week there".
Clarke is just happy to be striking the ball from the middle of
the club. "Things are going well for me at the moment and
if I can get just a little more luck with my putter then I will
be looking for a very good week at The Masters," he said.
