Goosen Makes a Move in Tour Championship

US Open Champion, Retief Goosen of South Africa, climbed into a share of third place behind halfway leader, Jay Haas, in the US PGA Tour's Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia.

Goosen followed an opening 70 with a four under par 66 for 136, three strokes behind Haas, who also fired a 66, and one adrift of another 66-shooter, Stephen Ames of Canada.

However the South African was joined on 136 by a familiar name in former World Number One, Tiger, Woods, who signed for a best of the day 64.

Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke, one of the first round leaders, slipped back with a 73 following his opening 67 for a share of tenth place on 140, level par, while other European Touor Members in the top 20 are Sergio Garcia in tied 12th place, Vijay Singh (17th) and Ernie Els (tied 18th).
