ISM’s Darren Clarke was the principal donor in the European Tour’s Sport Relief project through the Red Bull Final 5 competition. Clarke contributed £8,000 of the £42,000 cheque handed over to the BBC’s Steve Rider at Loch Lomond.
Europe’s golfers have played the Red Bull Final 5 - a competition that rewards the best player over the final five holes - at three events this year: the Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters; the Volvo PGA Championship and the Barclays Scottish Open. Red Bull donated £1,000 to Sport Relief for every shot under par for the best Final 5 score on each day of the tournaments. Clarke’s four-under-par Red Bull Final 5 at the Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters raised £4,000 and was equalled by his return during the first round of the Volvo PGA Championship.
