Scott Tied Third at Bay Hill

 Adam Scott

Three European Tour Members finished in the top ten of the Bay Hill Invitational, presented by MasterCard, with Adam Scott of Australia leading the way in joint third place, Darren Clarke of Northern Ireland in joint sixth and American John Daly sharing tenth place.

There were also impressive performances from Sweden’s Mathias Gronberg and Fredrik Jacobson and England’s Lee Westwood, all of whom finished in the top 15 at Bay Hill Club and Lodge, Florida.

American Chad Campbell, runner-up in last year’s US PGA Championship, took the title after carding a six under par 66 to overcome a four-stroke deficit and win by six strokes at the Bay Hill Invitational in Florida.

Campbell finished on 18 under at 270 - well clear of third-round leader Stuart Appleby of Australia who carded a closing 76.

Scott shot a closing 71 to finish on 11 under par 277, alongside American Scott Verplank while Clarke shot a 72 for an eight under par total of 280. Daly triple bogeyed the last to fall back into a tie for tenth place on seven under par 281 after a final round of 73.
