Clarke's Final Flourish Earns £4000 for Sport Relief

Darren Clarke at the 2004 Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters First Round

Four birdies on the Final 5 holes sent Darren Clarke hurtling up the leaderboard and left him the clear winner of the Red Bull Final 5, in aid of Sport Relief, in the last round of The Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters at the Marriott Forest of Arden.

Birdies on the 14th, 15th and the 17th and 18th gave Clarke the best Final 5 score for any round at the tournament - four under par. As Red Bull are donating £1,000 to Sport Relief for every shot under par for the best Final 5 score, the Ulsterman’s performance raised £4,000.

The total donation to Sport Relief at The Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters was £12,000 after scores of three under, three under and two under par on the Final 5 on the previous rounds.

The Red Bull Final 5 will also be played at the Volvo PGA Championship at Wentworth Club, Surrey, England, from May 27-30 and The Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond, Glasgow, Scotland, from July 8-11.
