Panceltica Team Up With Indian Stars

Panceltica Holdings Ltd, a leader in fast track construction in the Middle East, has announced a new deal to back leading Indian golfers Jeev Milkha Singh and SSP Chowrasia along with cricketer and fellow countryman Robin Uthappa. Panceltica, who recently listed on the AIM stock market in London, build fast track housing and largescale building projects in the gulf with their proprietary technology that halves construction time when compared to local traditional methods.

The union will be Panceltica’s first major initiative in the sports sponsorship field and will provide valuable support for three of the sub-continent’s brightest stars.

Commenting on the partnership, Panceltica’s Chief Executive Paul Fraser said: ‘Cricket has always been a huge part of India’s sporting culture and has been further enhanced with the introduction of the IPL.  Golf has also enjoyed increased popularity in the country with emerging talent including Jeev and SSP both enjoying victory on the European Tour. Both sports have always been a personal passion of mine making this union particularly exciting for myself and the company. I am sure our partnership will be successful and rewarding for all parties and I look forward to working with them.’

Panceltica Holdings has established itself as the leading provider of fast track housing and commercial properties in the Middle East region and its backing of the three sportsmen coincides with plans to extend its business in the developing Indian market.
David Brookes, Sales and Marketing Director of ISM, Singh and Chowrasia’s management company, added: ‘We’re pleased to be associated with such a forward thinking and dynamic company. I’m sure Panceltica’s union with such reputable sports stars will be a mutually beneficial one.’

Singh became the first Indian golfer to qualify for the European Tour, winning a coveted card at qualifying school in 1997. Now one of the hardest working professionals in the game, Jeev played a remarkable 39 events in 2006, winning the Volvo Masters and the Volvo China Open and topping the Asian Tour Order of Merit. He was also presented a prestigious Padmashri Award from the Indian Government for his contribution to sports, almost 50 years after his sprinter father, Milkha Singh’ received the same award in 1959.

Chowrasia, fondly known as SSP, made his name when he triumphed at the inaugural Emaar-MGF Indian Masters earlier this year, heading a high class field which included Ernie Els and Darren Clarke. The victory saw him become just the third Indian golfer to win on the European tour, following Arjun Atwal and Jeev Milkha Singh.

Uthappa’s attractive batting made him a useful member of the India under-19 team that won the Asia Cup. He entered the spotlight when he made a brilliant 66 for India B against India A in the Challenger Trophy in Mumbai in 2005. More recently, a nerveless unbeaten 47 off only 33 balls helped India seal a rousing win against England at The Oval in the sixth One Day International and secured his place in the Indian team.

Each of the sportsmen will promote the Panceltica Holdings Ltd logo on their kit for future events.
