Press Release for Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters

Sam Torrance will lead a re-union of his Ryder Cup colleagues just a few miles from the scene of the team's greatest triumph.
Torrance is to play in the Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters and at least six of his team have confirmed their intention of being with him at the Marriott Forest of Arden from June 5-8.
Last-putt hero Paul McGinley will be joined by Darren Clarke, Lee Westwood, Thomas Bjorn, Pierre Fulke and Phillip Price in the race for the £250,000 first prize… and more of their team-mates could still join them.
"This is exciting news and another bonus in our bid to turn the Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters into the event the world's top stars want to be part of," said Andrew 'Chubby' Chandler, chief executive of tournament promoters International Sports Management.
Defending champion Justin Rose will be looking to retain the trophy he earned in stunning fashion almost a year ago, but Marriott Forest of Arden specialist Clarke will be hoping to deny him a first victory of the season.
"If there is one course I would willingly roll up, pop under my arm and transplant where I am playing around the globe, this would be it," said Clarke as he prepared for the £1.5m spectacular in three week's time.
"I have so many happy memories of the Forest of Arden," he added. "It is a true test of golf, not just a few aspects of the game, and that's how I like my courses".
McGinley has recently been showing signs of recovering the form that turned him into the hero of the continent of Europe and is another looking forward to returning to Shakespeare territory.
"I can't wait to get to the Daily Telegraph Damovo British Masters because it always gives it a bit more edge when there are so many of my Ryder Cup colleagues playing," said the Surrey-based Dubliner.
