Don’t bet against both Lee and Louis getting in contention for their biggest ever pay-day

- Chubby Chandler

Lee Westwood and Louis Oosthuizen could be playing for much more than pride when they turn up for the final leg of the US Tour’s FedEx Cup play-offs.

The Tour Championship in Atlanta week after next might see the pair chasing the $10m jackpot which goes to the player topping the standings at the end of the series.

Second place in Boston last weekend put Louis among those who have the opportunity to land the US Tour’s biggest prize while Lee needs a big week in Indianapolis to join him at the sharp end in Atlanta.

Don’t bet against both of them getting in contention for their biggest ever pay-day.

The weather wasn’t particularly brilliant in Switzerland but it didn’t prevent both Romain Wattel and Fredrik Andersson Hed bringing some more sunshine to their season.

The Frenchman and the Swede finished joint second in Crans at the Omega European Masters.

Ironically the pair also finished alongside one another tied third in Scotland just seven days earlier. I would not be the least bit surprised to see either or both complete the 3-2-1 graph before the end of the season.

New recruit Tommy Fleetwood also continued his upward graph – coach Jim Payne, the former Tour champion, taking his bag temporarily might have had something to do with it – by recording a top 20 finish.

It’s all go again this week in Holland and Indianapolis so look out for another big week for the ISM stable.
