Clement Sordet began 2022 with his fifth Challenge Tour victory, at the SDC Open in South Africa.

He turned professional in July 2015, recording the first win in just his fourth tournament at the Northern Ireland Open the following month.

He featured at The Open Championship for the first time at Royal Troon in 2016 and made his US Open debut at Pebble Beach in 2019.

His glittering amateur career included playing for France at the World Cup and made his professional debut on the European Challenge Tour in Slovakia in 2015.

Grenoble-born Clement, 22nd in the World Amateur Golf Rankings when he turned professional and a member of the European team in the Palmer Cup, became one of America’s top Collegiate golfers while at Texas Tech University and won six titles.

Clement did not take long to make his mark after turning professional.

Having finished in a share of 26th at the Fred Olsen Challenge de Espana in his second tournament, Clement picked up the first win at his fourth attempt, at the Northern Ireland Open in August 2015.

After his success in finishing second at the Thailand Championship in December 2015, securing a spot at The Open Championship, he picked up his second professional win at the Turkish Airlines Challenge in May 2016.

Clement collected a third victory at the Viking Challenge in August 2017, winning the 54-hole tournament by five shots with rounds of 70, 66, and 67 before winning the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final on the way to finishing second on the Road to Oman.

He came close to a first European Tour win with a share of second place at the Oman Open at the start of 2019.

Clement picked up yet another victory with a play-off success at the SDC Open in March 2022.
