The Daily Telegraph/Andalucia Tourist Board European Seniors Match Play Championship

The Andalucia Tourist Board, a long-time supporter of The European Tour, has teamed up with The Daily Telegraph to jointly sponsor the European Seniors Match Play Championship, which returns to Flamingos Golf Club, near Marbella in southern Spain, from September 17-20.
A £16,000 first prize from a total fund of £100,000 awaits the winner from a 32 man field over one of the area's most challenging and picturesque courses.
"We are delighted that the Andalucia Tourist Board has joined The Daily Telegraph for what is one of the most popular tournaments on the schedule,"
said David Brookes, Sales and Marketing Director for event promoters, International Sports Management.   
"The two concerns are perfect partners because they share an enthusiasm and a commitment to golf that is difficult to rival."
This year's challengers will try to wrest the crown from Jamaica's Delroy Cambridge, who won the event last year on its first appearance in Spain.
Brazil's Priscillo Diniz won the inaugural European Seniors Match Play Championship in 2000 at Portugal's Le Meriden Penina course and England's Jim Rhodes succeeded him 12 months later.
